Iria Macía

Iria Macía — “Marcia” is a multidisciplinary creative from Galicia, Spain, working at the intersection of fashion, art, and gastronomy. She studied Fashion Design and later completed a Postgraduate degree in Fashion Business at Parsons School of Design in New York, an experience that strengthened her foundation in visual culture and design while expanding her creative perspective.

Her career began in fashion, where she collaborated with designers and launched her own label. Over time, her practice evolved beyond garments, opening into illustration and graphic design—fields that allowed her to experiment with visual storytelling in more playful and expressive ways. Her passion for food and cooking naturally led her into the gastronomy world, where she merges artistic sensibility with culinary culture.

Iria’s illustration and graphic design work for restaurants seek to translate the sensory experience of food into visual form. She captures flavors, atmospheres, and identities through images and layouts that are both functional and evocative, offering a fresh perspective on how spaces and concepts communicate. Her style embraces a deliberate childlike quality, echoing the spontaneity of a notebook sketch. This approach distills complexity into simple yet striking visuals, forging an immediate and emotional connection with the viewer.

Currently, Iria continues to expand her practice through collaborations with restaurants, cultural projects, and multidisciplinary initiatives. Her work celebrates the dialogue between food, art, and storytelling, creating immersive experiences that extend far beyond the plate and into the imagination."
